Looks like there’s gonna be another one DWTS host reshuffle. Current host Tyra Banks revealed that it was “time to go from the dance floor to the stock market” in a video interview with TMZhinting that it will no longer host DWTS to advance. HollywoodLife has contacted Disney+ for comment.
“So I’m really focused on business, like crazy, crazy, crazy focused on business. SMiZE & Dream is global, not just in the UAE, but in many other countries you will see. So I think it’s time for me to really focus on my business and my entrepreneurship and also produce more television, but behind the scenes,” she said. The former model added, “I think it’s time to move from the dance floor to the stock market.”
When Tyra was asked if she was leaving Dancing with the stars, she replied, “I think it’s time. Don’t you think it’s time? Yes, I think it’s time.
As to why, Tyra said, “I’m an entrepreneur at heart…I think my heart, my soul, is in my business. It is also in the production of a new television, which we are also working on. We have a new trade show coming. But I really want to focus on my business, and you can’t do that by hosting a show.
Tyra joined the hit dance competition series as host for season 29, replacing the longtime host Thomas Bergeron. In season 31, America’s Funniest Home Videos host and DWTS champion Alphonse Ribeiro joined the show as Tyra’s new co-host. Disney+ has yet to reveal hosting plans for the upcoming season.
Dancing with the stars has been such an important part of my life for so many years, and I’m thrilled to officially join this tight-knit family as a co-host,” Alfonso said when the news broke. “Tyra and I have a long-standing friendship that I hope will resonate with all the fans back home as we kick off this new season on Disney+.”
When Dancing with the stars season 32 premieres, there will also be another big name absent from the show: Chief Justice Len Goodman. The beloved Judge revealed at the end of Season 31 that he was retiring as DWTS judge.
