Like season 27 of The single person clean winds, ABC is already preparing for the next season of the bachelorettewhich will feature the one and only LAWSON CHARITY! Charity was a contestant on Zach Shallcross’ season of The single personand her new Bachelorette role was announced during the women say it all special on March 14. Charity had been eliminated by Zach in the previous episode following her date in her hometown, where she told him she was “falling in love” with him.
Throughout the women say it all recording, host Jesse Palmer continually teased that he was going to make an announcement that would forever change the life of one of the ladies. None of the women knew what was going on. After filming wrapped, Charity thought she was filming a “this or that” game for the show’s social media account. Little did she know that she was actually going to be struck by the news that she was the next Bachelorette.
After Jesse asked him a few standard “this or that” questions, he then reflected, “Bachelorette Or Bachelor in Paradise?” Charity took a moment, but replied, “Let’s say Bachelorette.” That’s when Jesse bombshell announced that his wish had come true!
“Is it for real right now? Oh my God, I’m going to cry,” Charity said. “Are you kidding?!” Jesse had to assure her that it was definitely the real deal, and then he confirmed that she was saying yes to the opportunity. “I’m the Bachelorette, I can’t even say this without crying, screaming, but I’m the next Bachelorette. That’s me!” Charity gushes. “I’ve waited forever to find the love of my life and I’m blown away to be able to meet my person and be engaged and literally have my happily ever after.”
She added: “I feel so many emotions. I feel so happy, so grateful and I’m so ready to get engaged to the right person. Where are you!? He is coming! I can’t wait to show little girls like me that being in this position is possible. I know I will make a lot of people proud. the bachelorette usually airs during the summer, but a premiere date has yet to be confirmed.
