Tim Locastro, who was a bench player for the Yankees the past two seasons, reached base twice, with a single and a walk, in the Mets’ 3-0 loss to the Nationals at West Palm Beach, Florida.
The speedy Locastro is 12 for 33 (.364) this spring with six stolen bases.

Hernandez brawls
Elieser Hernandez didn’t help his cause trying to win a bullpen job, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks in two innings.
The right-hander boasts an 8.31 ERA this spring.
Caught my attention
Jimmy Yacabonis had a sixth consecutive scoreless outing to start the exhibition season.
The right-handed reliever is in camp on a minor league contract after spending last season with the Rays.
