Drew Barrymore applauded Hugh Grant after the movie star poked fun at the actress’ singing voice! In case you missed it, Hugh, who has been on a tear lately, was asked about his singing performance in 2007 Music and Lyricswho co-starred with Drew, and he ended up criticizing his own instead, calling it “awful”, per Wired. Upon hearing the news of the levity, Drew charged her phone, relaxed her vocal chords, and recorded herself singing the rom-com’s single titled “Way Back into Love.” She concluded the adorable March 16 video, which she captioned #SingForHughGrant JOIN ME, saying, “Oh, Hugh-bert, Hubert, this is for you.”
Of course, it’s all fun and games for the couple – who have built a lasting friendship over the years – although Hugh really went out of his way to muddy Drew’s soft tones during the Wired interview, as he said he wasn’t “nearly as self-tuned” as Drew was for the sung parts of the film. “I’m a little self-adjusting, but not as much as some people,” he said. “Drew Barrymore is in this movie with me, and I don’t think she’ll mind me saying her singing is just awful. I’ve heard dogs bark better than she sings,” he said. he snapped. Ouch.

The hilarious back-and-forth between Hollywood heavyweights comes after Hugh found himself in hot water after the Oscars on Sunday.
