Amy Robach & TJ Holmes Eye ‘Ellen’ Producers For New Gig

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, unemployed lovers and former “GMA3” co-hosts, are betting on their romance to land them their next gig.

The couple are “aggressively pitching” their own show to the producers behind “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” according to an insider, who further claims they “welcome continued coverage” of their relationship.

“It’s easier for them to host a show if they stay in the news and think they’re rock stars. They sell their chemistry,” the source said.

The couple’s chemistry was a huge hit on ABC before they got the boot.

The network executives constantly commented on how perfect they were together as on-air hosts, and “they helped out,” a source tells us.

“They absolutely believe their chemistry would sell, because it sold to ABC,” the insider said.

At ABC, however, the source warns, “They sold that brother/sister chemistry. Now they’re selling sex.

A source close to Robach also confirmed that the duo are “putting on a show à la Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos” – as they will eventually have to get back to work.

“Whatever deal they got from ABC, it won’t support them,” the insider said.

In the meantime, Robach and Holmes are gearing up for a “symbolic run” at Sunday’s United Airlines Half Marathon in New York. We are told they will be part of the first wave of runners, starting the race at 7 a.m.

They ran the same race last year with Robach’s then-husband Andrew Shue.

It was Holmes’ first run, and apparently around the time things started to get romantic between the two.

However, a source close to the couple told us in November that this was not the origin of their affair.

A representative of the couple did not respond to us.
